It’s a busy long weekend at the pool!
Friday, June 30
This weekend’s events include Grillin’ & Chillin’ at the pool (Friday, June 30, 6 pm while supplies last). We’ll have hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Contact hgharris2@gmail.com for more info.
Monday, July 3
We have a home swim meet on Monday, July 3. The pool will close at 4 pm for swimming. However, the team will host a Lollipop Kickboard Race at 6 pm (arrive by 5:45 pm and check in at front desk) for all young Parklawn Pool swimmers so feel free to stay (or return) and cheer on the team, have your young swimmer do a kickboard race, and have dinner at the Parklawn Piranha Grill!
Tuesday, July 4
The Parklawn Piranha Grill will be open starting at noon. Here is the schedule:
10:30 am: Pledge of Allegiance
10:35 am: Poolside Parade – decorate your wagon, stroller, bike, or scooter in red, white & blue for a couple of laps around the pool while music plays.
11:00 am: Coin Dive – We throw coins into the middle and shallow ends of pool for kids to jump in and retrieve. Kids can keep all they can get or purchase penny candy from pool that will be at the bingo table. Bring a container for your coins. (Parents may help younger swimmers.) Big kids will not be allowed in shallow end.
11:30 am: Cannonball Contest – Prize is a $5 snack bar coupon. Age groups: 8 & under; 9-12; and 13 & up.
12:00 pm: Bellyflop Contest – Prize is a $5 snack bar coupon. Age groups: 8 & under; 9-12; and 13 & up.
12:30 pm: Poolside Bingo – 20 rounds. Prize is a $2 snack bar coupon.
2:00 pm: Foosball Tournament – First team to 3 goals. Age groups: 8 & under; 9-12; and 13 & up. Prize is a $5 snack bar coupon.
